2025’s Cocktail Scene

As we near the end of Dry January we looked to the experts at Mashed to see just what lies ahead for this year’s cocktail scene. Drawing inspiration from industry veterans and emerging trends we see a scene that is ready to embrace a blend of classic revivals and innovative creations, and we are here for it.

1. The Martini Renaissance

The martini is experiencing a significant resurgence, celebrated for its versatility. From the dirty martini to contemporary variations like espresso-infused versions, there’s a martini to suit every palate. Savory twists, incorporating ingredients such as mezcal and olive brine, are also gaining traction, offering a fresh take on this classic.

· Looking for a good martini base with a real Zing – try Zing 72 – a beautiful botanical gin from France that goes great in a dirty martini.

2. Tiki Revival

Tiki-style cocktails are making a comeback and you can expect to see vibrant, fruity concoctions presented in elaborate glassware. It’s set to capture island life and offer a sense of fun and nostalgia.

· Stoller has just the rum you need for your tiki inspired cocktails. Marama Indonesian Rum is distilled with care and aged in oak barrels with tropical notes of coconut, vanilla, citrus and subtle spices. https://stollerimports.com/our-brands/marama-origins-rum/

3. Pickled and Savory Infusions

Savory cocktails are stepping into the spotlight and pickled ingredients are just the thing to add the tangy depth we are looking for. Enter in savory spices and brined vegetables to create a cocktail with vinegar and bliss.

4. Split-Base Creations

Mixologists are experimenting with split-base cocktails, combining two or more spirits to craft nuanced flavor profiles.

5. Cognac-Based Cocktails

Cognac is gaining popularity as a base spirit, appreciated for its complexity and versatility. Classic cocktails like the Stinger are being rediscovered, and bartenders are crafting new concoctions that highlight cognac’s rich flavors.

· For complexity that is luxurious in cocktails try our Suau Brandy originating from Mallorca with notes of vanilla, dried fruits, and subtle spices.
